Noburu (JB) Tsuruta

Noboru (JB) Tsuruta is the CER team advisor/representative in Japan. JB was engaged in petroleum trading and trading company management for more than 20 years at Mitsui including several years’ assignment to New York, Singapore and London. In 1988, he built the oil trading firm Arcadia Petroleum Ltd from scratch in London. From 1992 onwards, JB worked as General Manager of the Mitsui Utility fuel oil group in Tokyo covering sales into Japanese utility companies, and as General Manager of New Business Group engaged in IPP and Eco-business. In 1997 JB become President of Mitsui Oil Asia Pte. Ltd in Singapore, expanding the company’s trading volumes and business activities to become one of the top three companies in Singapore by turnover at SGD 9 billion in 1998. From 2001, JB was in charge of Mitsui’s global E&P business division becoming Managing Director of Mitsui Oil Exploration Co. Ltd. and served as a member of the board of several E&P companies in Japan, Australia, Oman, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Libya, Egypt, UK and the USA. JB now represents CER in Japan, particularly in the area of promoting active Strategic Petroleum Reserve Management.

Aydin Özü – Representative for Turkey Region

The Directors of CER have enjoyed an association of some 15 years standing with Aydin Özü who has joined the CER team as our associate in Turkey. Aydin is an experienced oil market professional whose career includes being a senior energy trader and marketer with Lukoil Marine, Bridge Oil and Penta Marine before creating EB Partners in 2001. EB Partners represented Masefield in Turkey and the Middle East for 10 years, in addition to doing work with Bominflot and Channoil to develop their marine and bunker fuels business interests in the region.

Aydin has been a member of International Bunker Industry Association since 1994 and a member of Energy Institute since 1998. Aydin is a founder of Turkish Bunker Association. During 2012-2014, he served on the Supervisory Board of the Turkish-American Business Association U.S Chamber of Commerce in Turkey. Aydin holds a MBA degree from Marmara University.

Aydin represents CER in Turkey and the neighbouring countries.
